As a young boy in Greece, Steve Fonta would sit on the park benches of Athens with his pappou, sharing fresh koulouri and quiet conversations under the warm Mediterranean sun. Those moments remembered so fondly, filled with the scent of this sweet baked bread, laughter, and family bonding, became deeply nostalgic and stayed with him long after he left Greece. Steve was inspired after 40+ years in the food industry to recreate that feeling, bringing the warmth, tradition, and communal joy of koulouri to America. Fafoutis Foods was born from the desire to share not just food, but the same sense of comfort, heritage, and togetherness that first sparked it all.
